Safe Snowmobiling Contest – 2005
The SnoPAC committee of Thunder Bay in partnership with Thunder Bay Safe Communities, J & J Sports and St. John Ambulance is happy to announce that did host a contest for snowmobile riders found to be practicing safety and following the law throughout this snowmobile season.
The ballots were issued inside a wallet bearing the logo SnoPAC, Snowmobiling Policing Advisory Committee. The green Velcro wallets also held safety card’s with information about slush, survival techniques, ice gage cards, and safe ATV riding. The wallets were designed to be opened when a person is wearing gloves to give easy access to show their permit when riding the trails.
1st PRIZE 3 day house boat rental at beautiful Dog Lake Resort
(Approx. value $1,000.00 Cdn.) went to Mike Kuechler of Holland Landing, ON
2nd PRIZE Canadian certified/approved off – road vehicle helmet & Suzuki Spring jacket compliments of J & J Sports & packsack compliments of Safe Communities went to Darren Warpula of Thunder Bay, ON
